About SabinPDF
SabinPDF is a free collection of document tools that run entirely in your web browser. There's no software to install, no account to create, and no file upload to a remote server — everything from converting a page of text into a PDF to merging a stack of contracts happens locally, on your own device, using JavaScript running in the tab you already have open.
We built it because most "PDF tool" websites quietly route your files through a server somewhere, which is unnecessary for the vast majority of everyday tasks and adds a real privacy trade-off for something as simple as signing a form or splitting a scanned document. Modern browsers are capable enough to do this work directly, so SabinPDF does exactly that.
How it works
Each tool on this site is built with open-source JavaScript libraries that run inside your browser tab — the same kind of code that powers desktop PDF software, just loaded on demand instead of installed. When you upload a file, it's read into memory by your browser, processed there, and turned back into a downloadable file. Nothing is sent over the network, so there's no server log of what you worked on, no waiting on an upload or download queue, and no risk of a third party seeing your document's contents. It also means SabinPDF works offline once the page has loaded, and behaves the same whether you're on a fast office connection or spotty mobile data.

Frequently asked questions
- Is SabinPDF really free?
- Yes. All tools are free to use, with no sign-up. The site may show ads to help cover hosting costs.
- Do you store or see my files?
- No. Every tool processes files locally in your browser. SabinPDF has no server-side file storage, so we never receive or see the content of anything you convert, edit, or sign.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes — SabinPDF is designed to work comfortably on both desktop and mobile browsers, including touch-based signing.
- Why didn't my "Fill PDF" find any fields?
- Fill PDF only works with PDFs that already contain real, fillable form fields. If a PDF is just a flat scanned image or has no form fields, use the PDF Editor tool to add text instead.
- Is there a file size limit?
- There's no hard limit set by SabinPDF, but since everything processes in your browser's memory, very large files (several hundred megabytes) may run slowly depending on your device. Most everyday documents — contracts, forms, reports, scanned pages — are well within what any modern browser handles comfortably.
- Do I need to create an account to use these tools?
- No. None of the tools on SabinPDF require a sign-up, login, or email address. Open a tool, upload your file, and download the result.
